Engineering starts with the vehicle platform
A reliable expedition camper works as one system with its base vehicle. Wheelbase, chassis movement, axle loading, rear overhang, cabin type and service access determine the practical body envelope before the interior is planned.

Questions about expedition campers in the UAE
Can X Campers build on a GMC Sierra HD or Ford F-550?
Yes, both are candidate platforms for the XC Terra program. The final habitat size depends on the exact wheelbase, cabin configuration, axle ratings, payload and the approved body envelope for that vehicle.
Do you build on Unimog and Zetros trucks?
The XC Atlas program is intended for high-mobility platforms such as Unimog and Zetros. A detailed engineering review is required because subframe movement, overall height, weight distribution and service access differ by chassis.
Can you convert a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?
Yes. XC Nomad keeps the factory van body and adds the insulated interior, furniture, electrical, water, ventilation and climate systems inside it.
Are the 3D builder dimensions final approval?
No. The online builder provides an early packaging check and design brief. A physical survey, load calculation, manufacturer guidance and relevant UAE approvals are required before fabrication.
